Homeopathy

Like all holistic therapies Homeopathy looks at the whole person rather then at individual symptoms.

The founder of Homeopathy Samual Hahnemann realised that everything alive has a life force what the Chinese call Qi and the Indians call Prana. If this life force is in any way compromised people will fall ill. Be that ill of the mind, the body or the soul. To recover this life force needs to be stimulated. For the best way of stimulation he discovered certain rules:

a substance that causes symptoms in a healthy person would cure similar symptoms of illness (similia similibus curentur)
stimulation with energised (potentised) substances is the most effective
minute amounts are often better than large quatities
• to discover the properties of a substance it needs to be proved (tested) on people who can tell its exact effects

These principles have been tested over two centuries and still apply.

Homeopathy works well for most chronic illnesses (e.g. asthma, eczema, migraines, digestive problems, menstrual problems, exhaustion, anxiety, depression) but also for a wide range of acute problems (e.g. colds and flu, sports injuries, back and joint problems, stress).
